Job summary

Annexion Partners is seeking a Senior BMS Manager with extensive data centre experience to lead reliability and optimization of BMS/CCCS and critical facility systems across new and existing sites.

The role centers on design validation, maintenance strategy, OT cybersecurity compliance, and collaboration with mechanical/electrical teams to drive energy efficiency and uptime.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of data centre experience.
• Strong knowledge of BMS/CCCS and critical facility systems.
• Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services Engineering or related.
• Experience with BMS, CMMS, DCIM, ERP and/or Microsoft BI.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, architecture and validation of BMS/CCCS systems.
• Review and approve control sequences, setpoints and system behaviours.
• Drive initiatives to improve reliability, automation, energy efficiency and monitoring visibility.
• Manage BMS upgrades, firmware updates and lifecycle replacements.
• Oversee preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance strategies for critical systems.
• Support capacity loading, asset management and maintenance planning.
• Work closely with mechanical, electrical, fire protection and security systems.
• Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis and resolution of complex technical issues.
• Ensure BMS/CCCS systems comply with OT cybersecurity, network segmentation and audit requirements.
• Explore data analytics and AI applications to support predictive and preventive maintenance.

I’m currently looking to connect with experienced Senior BMS Managers with strong data centre experience for an opportunity with a leading data centre developer and operator.

This is a key role within the operations team, responsible for the reliability, optimization and continuous improvement of BMS/CCCS and critical facility systems across new and existing data centre environments.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the design, architecture and logic validation of BMS/CCCS systems
• Review and approve control sequences, setpoints and system behaviours

Key Requirements:

• Strong technical knowledge of BMS and critical facility systems
• Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles
• Experience with BMS, CMMS, DCIM, ERP and/or Microsoft BI
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Experience working within mission-critical / critical facilities environments
