ASTRO, Indonesia's rapid-delivery platform, is seeking an experienced backend engineer to lead scalable services across platforms in Jakarta. You will collaborate with Product and Engineering to deliver features, optimize databases and system performance, and ensure reliable RPC and messaging communication.

You will mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and apply best practices while exploring AI tools to boost development efficiency and production reliability.

Qualifications

• 5–6 years of experience as a Software Engineer with backend focus.
• At least 3 years hands-on experience using Golang.
• Solid experience with Redis, RPC, and Kafka or similar messaging systems.
• Strong database design skills across SQL and NoSQL.
• Experience in system design for scalable, fault-tolerant architectures.
• Familiar with monitoring/observability tools such as Grafana and Datadog.
• Understanding SDLC, testing, deployment & maintenance.
• Curious, proactive mindset to learn new technologies.
