Job summary

PT Adecco Personnel Indonesia is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design and implement Go services for a high-throughput online transportation platform.

The role emphasizes scalability, reliability, and collaboration with distributed teams across Asia, with on-call incident handling and mentoring responsibilities to raise engineering standards.

You will work with Kubernetes on AWS, Redis, MySQL, Kafka, and Elasticsearch, contributing to architectural reviews and interviews.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering in a distributed systems environment.
• Proficiency in Golang and its ecosystem.
• Strong site reliability and monitoring capabilities.
• Experience with large-scale web services and networking.

Responsibilities

• Design and write Go services to improve availability, latency, and efficiency.
• Explore designs and architectures geared toward scale and performance.
• Review code and design to maintain high standards.
• Engage in capacity planning, performance analysis, and tuning.
• Collaborate with product and experience teams to prototype features.
• Scale back-end services with the infra team and perform root-cause analysis.
• Design, build, and fix large-scale systems.
• Pro-actively debug and solve production incidents during on-call shifts.
• Participate in interview loops to hire top talent.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to peers.
