Job summary

Stockbit is seeking a strong Backend Engineer for its Crypto team to design, build, and operate backend systems powering our crypto exchange and wallet services. You will ensure security, scalability, and reliability while integrating with blockchain networks and payment gateways.

The role emphasizes high-performance APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, and collaboration with product, frontend, and security teams to deliver end-to-end crypto product features.

Qualifications

• 3+ years backend engineering experience in fintech/crypto.
• Experience with Go/Java and RESTful APIs, gRPC, and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of concurrency, distributed systems, and high-performance backend design.
• Experience with RDBMS (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (Redis, MongoDB).
• Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Hands-on blockchain/crypto integration (wallet services, Web3 APIs, smart contracts) is a plus.
• Familiarity with security best practices: encryption, key management, KYC/AML compliance.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
• Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services for crypto trading, wallet, and payments.
• Build high-performance APIs for order matching, deposits/withdrawals, and real-time processing.
• Implement secure integrations with blockchain networks, custodians, and payment gateways.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance for high-volume crypto transactions.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and security teams to deliver features.
• Write clean, tested, maintainable code following best practices.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and improve backend infrastructure.
• Stay up to date with blockchain, crypto, and security best practices.
