Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking an L3 Technical SME - AI Compute to lead advanced GPU platform initiatives and resolve complex AI infrastructure challenges. You will act as the senior technical authority for GPU compute, Linux systems, and AI cluster operations, partnering across platform engineering, storage, networking, and OEM teams to ensure reliability and scalability of mission-critical environments.

You bring 8+ years in AI infrastructure, deep Linux expertise, and hands-on experience with NVIDIA data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 8+ years supporting AI infrastructure, HPC or large-scale Linux environments.
• Deep Linux administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production ops.
• Strong knowledge of NVIDIA data center GPUs and GPU computing environments.
• Experience with GPU diagnostics and hardware troubleshooting.
• Experience with AI workload orchestrators (Kubernetes, Slurm, etc.).
• Ability to perform advanced RCA across hardware, firmware, OS, networking, storage.
• Familiarity with firmware lifecycle, BIOS, BMC, Redfish, IPMI, and driver management.
• Experience managing major incidents, escalations, and OEM engagements.
• Excellent English communication; Mandarin is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as highest level technical escalation for complex AI compute incidents.
• Lead fault isolation across GPU, CPU, memory, PCIe, NVLink, NVSwitch, OS, and platform layers.
• Perform deep analysis of GPU health, ECC errors, and performance degradation.
• Lead RCA investigations and define corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Drive firmware validation, compatibility assessments, and maintenance planning.
• Automate tasks, diagnostics, monitoring, and remediation workflows.
• Analyze capacity, utilization, performance, and SLOs across AI environments.
