Sekolah Victory Plus seeks a Secondary School English Coordinator (Language Acquisition & Language & Literature) to collaborate with subject teachers and pedagogical leaders to develop and monitor an IB-aligned curriculum across PYP, MYP, and DP, fostering internationally-minded, global citizens.

Secondary School English Coordinator (LA & LL)

Subject Coordinators will work collaboratively with teachers of the subject (Secondary and the Home Room Teachers or Single-Subject Teachers MYP-DP) and the pedagogical leaders (Principals, Vice Principals and MYP, DP) to develop and monitor a school-based curriculum (scope and sequence) that embraces the requirements of the international curricula to foster the development of internationally-minded, global citizens.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for Language Acquisition and Language & Literature.
• Model effective and innovative teaching methodologies in the classroom
• Negotiate a program of support or development, as requested by colleagues or required by the Principal
• Provide curriculum leadership of the subject area
• Lead the development of school-wide scope and sequence/curriculum documents
• Monitor the across programme articulation of the subject – PYP/MYP/DP
• Coordinate the activities of the subject
• Collect subject lesson plans, learning engagements and assessment tasks and arrange for them to be filed electronically
• Co-ordinate the supply of books, stationery and consumables for the subject
• Practice a method of collaborative leadership whereby direction is provided but all subject members are empowered to be leaders
• Provide information and feedback to improve teachers' professional knowledge, skills or attitude
