Qualifications

About the role

seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Sales Surf Retail Assistant to join our team in South Kuta, Bali. This is a full-time position based in the vibrant Uluwatu area, a world-renowned surf destination. In this role, you will be the face of our retail operation, delivering exceptional customer service to both local surfers and international visitors. You will play a crucial part in driving sales, building customer relationships, and representing our brand values within one of Bali's most dynamic retail environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert product knowledge and personalised recommendations to customers across our range of surf equipment, apparel, and accessories
• Execute point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently whilst maintaining a welcoming checkout experience
• Maintain an organised, visually appealing retail floor and ensure stock levels are appropriately managed and displayed
• Greet customers promptly and assess their needs to offer tailored solutions that enhance their surfing experience
• Process customer inquiries, handle returns and exchanges, and resolve any concerns with professionalism and empathy
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving stock, stocktaking, and reporting on product availability
• Promote current promotions, seasonal offerings, and new product launches to drive sales and customer engagement
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and security procedures within the retail environment
• Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and support colleagues during peak trading periods

What we're looking for

• Proven retail experience, ideally within the sporting goods, fashion, or lifestyle retail sectors
• Passionate about surfing and the surf culture, with genuine enthusiasm for our products and brand
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers
• Strong numeracy skills and comfort with point-of-sale systems and retail technology
• Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and peak seasonal periods
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle merchandise with care
• Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Fluency in English essential; additional language skills (Indonesian, Mandarin, or Japanese) are highly desirable
• A reliable, punctual approach to work with a professional appearance and positive demeanour
