Job summary

Grab is seeking a Strategy & Planning Budget Controller Manager, Expansion Territory, to lead budgeting, forecasting, and planning in Jakarta, Indonesia. This onsite role partners with FP&A, Operations, and cross-functional teams to ensure disciplined growth and clear financial insight for strategic initiatives.

You will manage the budgeting cycle, track spend with budget owners, and provide governance to support leadership decisions. This position is based in Jakarta, onsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 6+ years of FP&A, business controlling, strategic finance, or business planning.
• Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools such as SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling capability.
• Stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge constructively.
• Turn financial data into clear recommendations for business leaders.

Get to Know the Team

We are looking for a Strategy & Planning Budget Controller Manager, Expansion Territory, to join the team in Jakarta, Indonesia and strengthen our budgeting, forecasting, and planning discipline. The Strategy & Planning team helps steer disciplined growth by aligning organization's priorities, resource allocation, and performance visibility across at least five business products. We partner with Financial Planning & Analysis ("FP&A"), Operations, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure strategic initiatives are well planned, well governed, and backed by clear financial insight.

Get to Know the Role

You will lead the team's budgeting and forecast management cycle, while providing clear financial visibility to support planning and execution. You will work with budget owners and leadership to track spend, challenge assumptions, surface risks, and improve budget governance across projects. You will report to the Head of S&P Territory Expansion. This role is onsite and based in Jakarta.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), business controlling, strategic finance, or business planning
• Proficiency in excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and reporting tools such as SQL, Tableau, or Power BI
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling capability
• Stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge constructively
• Turn financial data into clear recommendations for business leaders
