Job summary

Grab, Southeast Asia's leading superapp, is seeking a Financial, Planning and Analysis Associate to join the FP&A and forecasting team in Jakarta.

You will oversee the forecasting process, coordinate inputs from divisions, and build financial models to support the budget and growth strategy, reporting to the Manager and being onsite in Jakarta.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Accounting/Finance/Economics).
• 3+ years FP&A experience.
• Strong analytical skills with data insights.
• Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets; knowledge of Oracle, EPM, SQL, or Power BI.
• Ability to present insights to team; experience in multinational/tech setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor actual financial results against budgets and forecasts; analyze variances and collaborate with partners to adjust forecasts.
• Be a finance partner to business teams; collaborate with other departments to support plans.
• Communicate financial and operational impact of changes in business logic.
• Contribute to month-end closing by desktop review to improve data quality.
• Build financial models to evaluate different scenarios and assess impacts on performance.
• Present comprehensive financial reports and presentations.
• Follow up indicators linked to budget and forecast with relevant departments.
• Use budgeting systems and management reporting interfaces towards business.

Get to know the Team

The FP&A and forecasting team is responsible for the Business Vertical's forecast and budget, including identifying for implementing scenarios, risk and opportunities.

Get to know the Role

Oversee the forecasting process, including coordinating input from multiple divisions and departments, and building financial models and templates. You will ensure the delivery of the final budget and forecast, confirmed with all relevant partners. Additionally, it involves managing reporting and performing follow-up analysis to track budget and forecast performance. An important aspect of you will drive company profitability and growth by analyzing revenues, costs, and evaluating new programs and business cases. You will be reporting to Manager and Onsite in Jakarta office.

The Critical Task you will Perform

• Monitor actual financial results against budgets and forecasts. Analyse the variances, investigate reasons for deviations, and collaborate with relevant partners to make necessary adjustments to forecasts, highlighting potential risks and opportunities. Provide insights to management and partners.
• Be a finance partner to business teams. Work and collaborate with other departments to support the business activities/plans.
• Knowledgeable to communicate financial and operational impact of any changes in Business logic and vice versa.
• Contribute to the month-end closing process by doing desktop review to identify the oddity and help improve the quality of financial data.
• Build financial models to evaluate different scenarios and assess potential impacts on the financial performance.
• Present comprehensive financial reports and presentations.
• Follow up of indicators linked to budget and forecast with relevant departments
• Use budgeting systems, management reporting systems and other financial reporting interfaces towards business

Qualifications

What Essential Skill you will Need

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience minimal 3+ for Financial, Planning & Analysis
• Analytical skills with the ability to find relevant insights from complex data.
• Proficiency in MicrosoftExcel and google sheets. Knowledge on Oracle, EPM, SQL, or Power BI.
• Passionate about learning and exploring new trends in business and finance.
• Present insights to relevant team members.
• Experience in multinational companies, tech consulting, or startups preferred
