Job summary

HOPE Technik Pte Ltd seeks a Software Engineer – Automation/Embedded System Firmware to lead robotics automation engineering efforts. You will work across the full development lifecycle, from requirements to commissioning, and help shape the architecture for our robotic products and simulations.

You will collaborate with the Operations Team on site and remotely, programming PLCs, developing embedded firmware, and integrating communication protocols like EtherCAT, Modbus, and Modbus/TCP.

Qualifications

2–3 years of professional experience in automation or robotics.
Proficiency with articulated robots, preferably ABB, and Robot Studio.
Understanding of robot coordinates and kinematics.
PLC and HMI programming experience, ideally Siemens.
OOP concepts and embedded firmware development.
Degree in Automation, Electrical or Mechatronics is desirable.
Familiar with STM32 and RTOS is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and program PLCs and embedded firmware for machines and robots.
Architect and enhance existing automation software and hardware.
Collaborate with operations during commissioning and validation.
Create multi-robot trajectories and simulate robot behavior.
Coordinate commissioning and PLC tasks at customer sites.
