Job summary
Flex is seeking an Automation Engineer to join our Batam team in Indonesia. You will design, implement, and maintain automation equipment and tooling to support manufacturing processes. The role emphasizes reliability, troubleshooting, and documentation.
Responsibilities include creating manuals and maintenance plans, understanding wear parts, and ensuring machine uptime. You will collaborate with engineering and operations and help evolve our Automation framework for new products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of automation engineering experience in high-technology electronics.
- Mechatronics design and robotics experience.
- PLC programming and automated control experience.
- Devices with automatic camera recognition experience.
- Circuit design skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, and modify automation equipment to automate manufacturing processes.
- Establish manuals, drawings, models, and maintenance plans for automated equipment.
- Ensure uptime through preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations to ensure efficient automation.
- Contribute to planning and maintaining the Automation framework for new products.
