Job summary

Flextronics - The Flex Company is seeking an Automation Engineer in Batam, Indonesia, to specify, design and maintain automation equipment and applications. You will work on moderately complex automation projects and support production with reliable equipment and processes.

The role requires a bachelor’s in electrical or mechanical engineering, about one year of automation experience, and hands-on skills in PLC programming, mechatronics and camera-enabled devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or similar field.
• Typically at least 1 year of automation engineering experience in the electronics/high-tech industry.
• Mechatronics design experience including Robot/Cobot integration.
• Experience in automated control (PLC programming).
• Experience developing devices with automatic camera recognition.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and modify automation equipment, tooling and applications to automate manufacturing processes.
• Prepare manuals, drawings, models, and maintenance plans for automated systems.
• Ensure machine uptime via preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to support production needs.
• Contribute to automation framework and processes for new products.
• Provide feedback to improve process and equipment design.
