Job summary

PT BYD AUTO INDONESIA is seeking a Robotic Engineer in Subang to join our robotics team. The role focuses on system design for KUKA welding processes, robot teaching, and PLC communications to support efficient manufacturing operations.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of robotics experience, a diploma or bachelor’s in engineering, and Mandarin language ability. This position is on-site in Subang with a small, focused engineering team.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronic, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience as a Robotics Engineer.
• Ability to speak Mandarin (Chinese).

Responsibilities

• Design integrated systems for KUKA robot spot welding, arc welding, and door cover edge operations.
• Teach and program robots, simulate paths, and write control programs (offline/online).
• Configure PLC signal interactions, emergency stop interlock design, and robot-welding equipment communications.
• Select robot hardware systems based on payload and application requirements.
• Perform on-site fault diagnosis, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Comply with information security policies and report violations.

Robotic System Design: Integrated system design for KUKA robot spot welding, arc welding, and door cover edge operations.

Teaching & Programming: Conduct robot teaching, path simulation, offline/online path programming, and write control programs.

PLC & Signal Interaction: Configure PLC signal interaction, emergency stop interlock design, and communication between robots and welding equipment.

Hardware & Load Selection: Select robot hardware systems based on payload, reachability, and application requirements.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform on-site robot fault diagnosis, maintenance, and operational troubleshooting.

Information Security: Comply with information security policies, implement requirements, and report any security violations.
