Job summary

BYD in Bali is seeking a Robotic Engineer to design and integrate robotic systems for welding applications, and to perform robot teaching, programming, and PLC interfacing. The role requires hands-on development, on-site support, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Robotic Engineering with 1–3 years of experience and is proficient in English, enabling effective collaboration with the team and clients in a technical environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Robotic Engineering is required.
• 1-3 years of similar experience is preferred.
• Proficient in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate robotic systems for KUKA spot welding, arc welding, and door cover edge welding applications.
• Perform robot teaching, path simulation, and offline/online path programming.
• Develop robot control programs, set PLC signal interactions, and design emergency stop interlocks.
• Design robot-to-PLC communication, and select appropriate robot hardware, payload, and reach/accessibility.
• Coordinate signal interfacing between robots and welding machines, including equipment communication and synchronization.
• Provide on-site troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and maintenance support for robotic systems.
• Follow and implement company safety, quality, and process requirements throughout all project stages.
