Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position or industry.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Commitment to working safely and participating in all HSE programs.
• Must be able to communicate with upper management as well as semi-skilled laborers to ensure clear understanding of HSE guidelines.
• English language skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Promote and assist all employees in building and engaging in a proactive safety culture.
• Assist management in communicating, implementing and clarifying federal and state regulations, HSE/QMS programs, policies and training requirements.
• Assist site leadership with HSE inspections, checklists, audits and behavior-based safety compliance requirements.
• Observe and mentor employees performing critical and instructional tasks, evaluate performance using best practices.
• Assist operations in investigations, identify corrective actions and create Near Miss/IFO/FSA/FAP reports.
• Support environmental audits and assessments to ensure regulatory compliance.
