Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in Resource Development, including designing and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies.
  • Proven skills in Planned Giving and Annual Giving, with ability to manage campaigns and donor pipelines.
  • Strong background in Philanthropy, cultivating and stewarding donors across multiple channels.
  • Experience in Volunteer Management, engaging, training, and retaining volunteers for fundraising.
  • Relevant experience in nonprofit or international development organizations, preferably housing or community development.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building across cultures; English and Indonesian desirable.
  • Strong strategic planning, analytical and organizational skills with multi-project delivery.
  • Commitment to Habitat for Humanity values and faith-inspired, inclusive environment.

Role Description

The Resource Development Director is responsible for leading and implementing comprehensive fundraising and resource development strategies to support Habitat for Humanity Indonesia's mission. This on-site role, based in Jakarta, Indonesia, oversees donor acquisition and stewardship, major gifts, corporate and foundation partnerships, and community-based fundraising initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing annual fundraising plans, managing campaigns and appeals, supervising resource development staff, and coordinating with program teams to align funding with organizational priorities. The director also cultivates relationships with individual donors, faith communities, philanthropic institutions, and volunteers, while ensuring timely reporting, compliance with internal policies, and effective communication of impact. The role requires collaboration with senior leadership to strengthen brand visibility, expand funding channels, and build long-term sustainability for Habitat's programs.

  • Relevant experience in nonprofit or international development organizations, preferably in housing, community development, or social impact sectors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills in cross-cultural settings; proficiency in English and Indonesian is highly desirable.
  • Strong strategic planning, analytical, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, nonprofit management, social sciences, or a related field; advanced degree or fundraising certification is an advantage.
