Job summary

Anypear is seeking a versatile Mechanical Design Engineer for a remote, Australia-focused project in Non Process Infrastructure. The role centers on drafting, 3D modelling for piping, skid structures, and NPI projects in mining, with an emphasis on accuracy and compliance.

You will produce PFDs, P&IDs, tender packages, and documentation using AutoCAD, Word, and Excel; support lifecycle phases from PFS to DES/FEED, and ensure constructability and QA.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Drafting, or a related field.
• Minimum 2+ years experience in a drafting or engineering role, preferably within mining, heavy industry, or NPI sectors.
• Advanced skills in AutoCAD (2D/3D) with demonstrated experience creating P&IDs and PFDs.

Responsibilities

• Support drafting and development of PFDs and P&IDs for NPI utility systems (water, fuel, air, lubrication).
• Use AutoCAD to produce accurate 2D/3D drawings meeting industry and safety standards.
• Support NPI mining projects through all phases: PFS, DES, FEED, Detailed Design.
• Assist in developing robust tender packages and construction-ready docs for mining infra.
• Ensure design continuity across phases to minimise redesign and scope creep.
