Job summary

Bungasari is seeking a Product Development Scientist to lead research, formulation, and scale-up of new FMCG products in a fully remote capacity. You will work across development, regulatory, and manufacturing to bring concepts to commercialization while ensuring safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes independent work in a remote setting, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and ongoing innovation to meet consumer trends and market needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product development within the FMCG industry (food, beverages or personal care).
• Strong background in chemistry, food science, chemical engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience in formulation development, scale-up, and product commercialization.

Responsibilities

• Conduct R&D for new FMCG product formulations focusing on efficacy, safety, and consumer appeal.
• Develop and optimize prototypes with benchtop testing and pilot-scale trials.
• Collaborate with marketing, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing for launches.
• Analyze product performance data, consumer feedback, and market trends for improvements.
• Ensure development activities comply with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders and regulatory submissions.
