Job summary

Smartrecruiters, Inc. is seeking a diligent Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team in a fully remote role.

You will manage the AR cycle, ensure timely invoicing, monitor non-payments, and support cash flow through accurate records and strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, at least 3 years in AR or credit control, proficiency with Xero or QuickBooks and Excel, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or credit control.
• Strong understanding of AR principles, credit management, and collections.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with Indonesian business practices and regulations related to invoicing and payments.
• Experience with CRM systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the accounts receivable ledger, ensuring all customer accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
• Generate and send out invoices to customers promptly and accurately.
• Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
• Perform daily cash reconciliation and apply payments to customer accounts.
• Contact customers to follow up on outstanding balances and resolve payment issues.
• Negotiate payment plans with customers when necessary.
• Conduct credit checks on potential new customers and set credit limits.
• Prepare aging reports and provide analysis on overdue accounts.
• Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with company credit policies and AR procedures.
