Job summary

FSC International is seeking a Remedy Manager for Asia Pacific to lead regional implementation of the Remedy Framework, coordinating onboarding of remedy cases and adapting global procedures to APAC contexts. The role acts as regional advisor, engages stakeholders including NGOs, partners, and staff; requires 5+ years of project management, and fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Role involves international travel and work from Indonesia.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent in law, environmental governance, dispute resolution, human or environmental rights, international relations, or a related field.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• 5+ years of project management experience in multi-stakeholder environments.
• Experience with tropical forestry concessions and social forestry.
• Ability to represent FSC with authority and conduct.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary regional advisor and point of contact for FSC APAC staff, remedy clients, partners, NGOs and other external stakeholders.
• Serve as case manager for remedy cases in the region to onboard new cases and oversee implementation of the Remedy Framework.
• Provide expert guidance on grievance management, informal dispute resolution, and conformance with the Remedy Framework.
• Develop, adapt, and operationalize FSC tools, methodologies, and guidance materials (e.g., FPIC and capacity-building frameworks).
• Build and strengthen the APAC remedy ecosystem through onboarding, training, monitoring, quality control, and capacity development of assessors and verifiers.
• Represent FSC International in regional meetings, conferences, and stakeholder forums to enhance credibility of the Remedy Framework.
• Deliver culturally and linguistically contextualized guidance across APAC, including Bahasa Indonesia communications and regional educational resources.
