Responsibilities

• Implement Asset Management Standards to improve equipment reliability, plant availability and maintenance performance.
• Develop engineering governance, technical standards and maintenance best practices.
• Lead asset lifecycle management, replacement planning and equipment standardization.
• Drive reliability engineering programs including failure mode analysis and spare parts management.
• Monitor asset performance and provide continuous improvement recommendations.
• Maintain equipment master data and asset registers within ERP systems.
• Lead RCA, defect elimination and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage equipment procurement and engineering-related projects.
• Develop and manage departmental OPEX, CAPEX and annual work programs.
• Support new plant projects through maintenance readiness planning and implementation.
• Conduct engineering reviews to improve equipment selection and maintainability.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Reliability & Engineering Manager to drive asset reliability, plant availability, and maintenance excellence across our mining and processing operations. This role will lead the implementation of asset management standards, reliability engineering programs, equipment optimization strategies, and engineering governance to support safe, efficient, and sustainable operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement Asset Management Standards to improve equipment reliability, plant availability, and maintenance performance.
• Develop engineering governance, technical standards, and maintenance best practices.
• Lead asset lifecycle management, replacement planning, and equipment standardization initiatives.
• Drive reliability engineering programs, including failure mode analysis, maintenance strategy optimization, and spare parts management.
• Monitor asset performance and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Maintain equipment master data and asset registers within ERP systems.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA), defect elimination, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage equipment procurement and engineering-related projects.
• Develop and manage departmental OPEX, CAPEX, and annual work programs.
• Support new plant projects through maintenance readiness planning and implementation.
• Conduct engineering reviews to improve equipment selection, maintainability, and operational performance.
• Develop technology roadmaps and identify opportunities for operational improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance management, asset management, or engineering roles within mining, mineral processing, or heavy industries.
• Strong knowledge of Asset Management Systems, Reliability Engineering, and Maintenance Management.
• Experience with CMMS and maintenance systems such as SAP, PRONTO, QlikView, Optimum, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of maintenance planning, spare parts management, maintenance cost control, and equipment performance optimization.
• Experience managing OPEX, CAPEX, and engineering projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset.
• Familiar with fixed plant and mobile mining equipment, including crushers, mills, dryers, pumps, tanks, excavators, loaders, graders, and haul trucks.
• Good understanding of mining and plant safety standards.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
