Job summary

Daikin Industries Indonesia is seeking a competent Supervisor/Team Leader to drive new product development and manufacturing transfer. You will lead cross-functional teams, evaluate parts and materials, and ensure smooth trial productions across plants.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical engineering background, CAD expertise, and strong communication skills in English. The role emphasizes leadership, problem-solving, and delivering reliable product quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Supervisor/Team Leader in development of home appliances, automotive, electronics, machinery or industrial machinery.
• Strong ability to lead, manage, and develop team members.
• Proficient in CAD design, including 2D/3D design, resin/plastic parts, piping, and sheet metal.
• Knowledge and experience in engineering analysis, FMEA and FTA.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, material mechanics, and engineering materials.
• Experience in product, component, and material testing, including reliability testing.
• Good command of English, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Strong leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Hardworking, responsible, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Daikin Malaysia’s R&D Department to support development of new models for manufacture in Daikin Indonesia.
• Control and monitor development process of new products transferred from other plants for production at Daikin Indonesia.
• Coordinate with factory departments to ensure smooth, delay-free trial production.
• Evaluate and propose changes to parts, components, and materials to improve quality, cost efficiency, and manufacturability.
• Conduct technical evaluation and analysis related to product development, component changes, and material selection.
• Support cross-functional teams in resolving technical issues during development and trial production.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
