Job summary

Allure Industries in Indonesia is seeking an experienced R&D Supervisor to support the R&D Manager by overseeing daily R&D operations, driving product development, and supervising the technical team to bring innovations into production.

You will lead prototyping, testing, and CAD-driven design work, coordinate with production and procurement, and ensure documentation and SOPs meet quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in R&D or product engineering in aluminum/building materials
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks or similar
• Hands-on prototyping, measurement and technical laboratory testing
• Experience supervising small teams of technicians or drafters
• Detail-oriented, well-organized with strong problem-solving
• Good communication with shop floor and management
• Familiar with latest technology, design trends and AI
• Willing to be hands-on in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Oversee prototyping, testing, validation and pilot runs for aluminum systems
• Translate technical specifications into CAD drawings and 3D models
• Conduct material testing to meet design and performance standards
• Monitor project timelines to achieve development targets
• Provide first-line technical support in production for new products
• Prepare and maintain manuals, datasheets and engineering docs
• Train production and installation teams on new assemblies and quality standards
• Coordinate daily with Production, PPIC, QAQC and Procurement
• Evaluate and test new materials or components from vendors
• Report progress and testing results to the R&D Manager
• Enforce SOPs and best practices in the R&D team
• Document experiments and design iterations
• Manage R&D testing equipment and organize the lab for rapid testing

Job description

Allure Industries is one of Indonesia’s leading innovators in aluminum doors, windows, partitions, and architectural systems. As we expand our Research & Development (R&D) capabilities, we are seeking a dedicated R&D Supervisor. This role will support the R&D Manager by overseeing daily R&D operations, executing product development projects, conducting technical testing, and supervising the technical/engineering team to ensure innovations are successfully brought into production.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development Execution

• Oversee and execute daily activities related to prototyping, testing, validation, and pilot runs (trial production) for aluminum systems and architectural components.
• Assist in translating technical specifications into detailed engineering drawings and 3D models (CAD/SolidWorks).
• Conduct hands‑on trials and material testing to ensure products meet design and performance standards.
• Monitor project timelines to ensure development targets are achieved efficiently.

Technical Service & Operational Support

• Act as the first line of support for resolving daily technical issues in the production area related to new products.
• Prepare, update, and maintain system manuals, technical datasheets, and standard engineering documentation.
• Train and guide production and installation teams on new product assembly, installation methods, and quality standards.

Cross-Department Coordination

• Coordinate daily with Production, PPIC, QAQC, and Procurement teams to ensure smooth pilot runs and material availability.
• Assist in evaluating and testing new raw materials or components from vendors.
• Provide regular reports on R&D project progress and testing results to the R&D Manager.

Process Implementation & Laboratory Management

• Ensure R&D best practices and SOPs are strictly followed by R&D staff/technicians.
• Maintain structured and accurate documentation of all experiments, test results, and design iterations.
• Manage R&D testing equipment and ensure the workspace is well‑organized for systematic testing and rapid experimentation.

Requirements :

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in R&D, Product Engineering, or technical roles (experience in aluminum, building materials, architectural systems, or manufacturing industries is highly preferred).
• Strong technical proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Good understanding of manufacturing materials (aluminum, hardware systems, coatings, glass, WPC, etc.) and production processes.
• Hands‑on experience in prototyping, measurement, and technical laboratory testing.
• Proven ability to supervise small teams (technicians or drafters) and coordinate tasks effectively.
• Highly detail-oriented, well-organized, and strong problem‑solving skills.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with both shop‑floor operators and management.
• Familiar with the latest technology, design trends, and AI.
• A team player, proactive, and willing to be hands‑on.
