Job summary

Signature Network is seeking a senior R&D Formulation Lead in Indonesia to drive breakthrough personal care formulations from concept through scale-up. You will manage a local R&D team, collaborate with Marketing, Production and QA, and oversee stability testing and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a strong portfolio of genuine formulation innovations, deep emulsion and surfactant expertise, and experience with Asian ingredient supply chains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Cosmetic/Pharmaceutical fields.
• 7–10 years in personal care formulation and product development.
• Strong portfolio of genuine formulation innovations, not just iterations.
• Experience leading an R&D team at managerial level.
• Deep expertise in emulsion tech, surfactants, and actives.
• Familiarity with Asia-based personal care ingredient supply chains (China).
• Knowledge of cosmetic regulations (BPOM Indonesia a plus).
• Proficient in product stability testing (accelerated and real-time).
• Able to work across cultures with Indonesian teams.
• Language requirement not strict: English/ Bahasa Indonesia not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead research and innovation of personal care formulations from concept to production-ready products.
• Oversee full development cycle: formula design, lab trials, stability tests, scale-up.
• Lead and grow the local R&D formulation team in Indonesia.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Production, and QC/QA to align development with brand goals.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with BPOM Indonesia and international standards; document results.
• Source and evaluate new raw materials; leverage Asian supply chains, especially Chinese.
• Develop across skincare, haircare, and body care categories.
