Job summary

PT Bina Mitra Indosejahtera seeks a meticulous Quantity Surveyor for a Timor Leste project. You will perform measurements, prepare BOQ, and monitor costs on site, ensuring compliance with drawings and contractual terms.

The role requires 1–3 years in QS, proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel, and ability to relocate to Timor Leste. You will work with site engineers and project managers to keep budgets on track and support tendering and claims.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator in construction.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong Excel and Office skills; knowledge of estimating/QS software is a plus.
• Willing to relocate to Timor Leste project site.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs and BOQ from drawings and specifications.
• Prepare cost estimates for tenders, budgets, and project execution.
• Support tendering with subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Measure and verify completed work for progress payments and valuations.

Quantity Surveyor Site TIMOR LESTE (MAN ONLY)

We are seeking a thorough and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team for our project in Timor Leste. If you have strong skills in measurement, estimating, and contract administration, we'd love to hear from you.

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES – QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Quantity Take-Off & Measurement

Calculate work quantities based on construction drawings

Perform quantity take-offs for Civil and Infrastructure works

Understand construction measurement methods and standards

Prepare and review BoQ (Bill of Quantities)

Calculate additional and omitted works including Variation Orders (VO)

Analyze construction unit rates and pricing

Understand material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs

Monitor budget vs actual costs

Prepare cost reports and cost forecasts

Identify cost variances and provide supporting analysis

Progress Measurement & Valuation

Measure and verify construction progress at site

Prepare progress measurement reports

Prepare Progress claims / payment certificates

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Building/Construction Management, or a related field.

- Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, or a similar role within the construction industry.

- Strong understanding of quantity take-off, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), estimating, tendering, and contract administration.

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of estimating/QS software (AutoCAD or similar) is an advantage.

- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

- Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

- Possess a valid BNSP certification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction field

- Willing to be assigned and relocated to the project site in Timor Leste.
