Job summary

PT. Samwan Dwi Jaya is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to calculate work volumes from drawings and field conditions, prepare BoQ and RAB, and verify progress on construction sites.

The role requires precise quantity take-offs, site inspections, and coordination with project teams to manage variation orders and payments. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of relevant experience, can read shop drawings and specs, and is proficient in Excel with AutoCAD as an advantage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as Quantity Surveyor on construction projects.
• Able to read working drawings (Shop Drawing/As Built Drawing) and technical project specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; AutoCAD skills are an advantage.
• Willing to work on-site and undertake travel as required.

A Quantity Surveyor role responsible for calculating work volumes based on drawings and actual field conditions, preparing and verifying Bill of Quantity (BoQ) and Budget Estimate (RAB), conducting site inspections and work progress verification, preparing progress calculations for payment terms/claims, controlling work quantities to align with contracts, calculating variation orders, and producing regular progress and quantity reports while coordinating with project teams and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate work volume based on drawings and actual field conditions
• Prepare and verify BoQ and RAB
• Conduct site inspections and verify work progress
• Prepare progress work calculations for payment terms/claims
• Control work quantities to ensure compliance with contract
• Calculate additional/reduced work (variation order)
• Produce regular progress and quantity reports
• Coordinate with project team and subcontractors regarding volume and work progress

About you

• Minimum education: SMK / D3 / S1 Civil Engineering
• Minimum 2–3 years experience as Quantity Surveyor on construction projects
• Able to read working drawings (Shop Drawing/As Built Drawing) and technical project specifications
• Able to perform work volume calculations (quantity take-off) from drawings
• Able to prepare and verify BoQ, RAB, and Bill of Quantity
• Understanding of Unit Price Analysis (AHSP) and construction cost calculations
• Able to conduct site inspections and verify work progress in the field
• Understanding of progress claim/payment term processes and supporting documents
• Able to calculate and control variation orders
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; AutoCAD skills are an advantage
• Detail-oriented, analytical, responsible, and able to work to targets
• Able to coordinate with Project Manager, Site Manager, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and Subcontractors
