Astro Holdings Berhad is seeking a QA/QC Supervisor to lead a warehouse QC team and manage inbound, storage, and outbound quality standards for fresh and frozen products. The role conducts inspections, drives waste reduction, and ensures compliance with SOPs and food safety practices.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in a related field or substantial experience at a supervisory level in QA/QC within FMCG or e-commerce settings, and will oversee ~65 personnel across operations.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Food Technology, Agricultural Product Technology, Agriculture, or Post-Harvest Technology.
• SMA/SMK with ≥5 years QA/QC experience also considered.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and quality standards.
• Experience with fresh/frozen product QA, food safety, and compliance.

• Supervise inbound inventory quality control, product verification and investigations to accept/reject based on standards.
• Conduct stock screening to identify expiring items and plan actions.
• Ensure proper temperature handling across inbound, storage, and outbound processes for fresh/frozen goods.

Descrizione del lavoro

• Supervise inbound inventory quality control processes, including product verification, assessment, and investigation, to determine product acceptance or rejection based on established quality standards.
• Conduct stock screening in storage areas to identify products approaching their expiration dates and establish appropriate action plans.
• Ensure optimal temperature handling and monitoring throughout the inbound, storage, and outbound processes, particularly for fresh and frozen products.
• Coordinate with the Category Management team to address product specification discrepancies and negotiate resolutions when necessary.
• Address vendor over-commitment issues, including discrepancies in product size, weight, or gram specifications against agreed standards.
• Analyze product waste at every operational stage and initiate continuous improvement initiatives to reduce wastage and shrinkage.
• Lead, manage, and develop the QC team, overseeing approximately 20 direct reports and coordinating quality control operations across a warehouse team of approximately 45 QC personnel.
• Validate, process, and analyze quality-related data to support reporting, operational monitoring, and data-driven decision-making.
• Monitor and maintain key quality metrics and operational fundamentals that directly impact product wastage and shrinkage.
• Ensure compliance with established quality standards, SOPs, and quality control manuals.
• Conduct product quality inspections based on category-specific quality parameters and standards.

Job Requirements

• To successfully launch your mission, you need to have:Education & Knowledge:
• Bachelor’s degree (S1/D4) in any discipline, with a preference for Food Technology, Agricultural Product Technology, Agriculture, or Post-Harvest Technology.
• Candidates with a high school diploma (SMA/SMK) considered with at least five years of relevant experience in a Quality-related role.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations and logistics, preferably within the e-commerce industry.
• Knowledge of quality standards, food safety, and compliance practices.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a QA/QC Supervisor handling fresh or frozen products, preferably in FMCG, retail, e-commerce, or F&B industries.
• Hands-on experience handling fresh and frozen products, including fruits, vegetables, frozen goods, and dairy products.
• Experience implementing food safety standards, quality control procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Experience in fresh product retail or quick commerce businesses is highly preferred.
