Job summary

Adi Jaya Utama in Bali seeks a dedicated Quality Control professional to ensure construction projects meet high standards of quality, safety and compliance. This full-time role involves monitoring materials, inspections, testing, documentation and collaboration with engineers and site managers.

You will maintain calibration of testing equipment, deliver QC reports to management and clients, and provide training on quality procedures. Indonesian fluency is required; driving license is desirable.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Proven experience as a Quality Control Inspector or similar role in construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, building codes, standards and specs for Indonesia.
• Proficiency in material testing and inspections using standard equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to document findings clearly.
• Strong communication with site personnel and management.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CM software is advantageous.
• Fluency in Indonesian and English, both written and spoken.

About the role

Adi Jaya Utama is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control professional to join our team in Bali. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all construction projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance. As a Quality Control specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring and inspecting all stages of construction work, from initial material procurement through to final project completion. Your meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence will directly impact the success and reputation of our projects.

Key responsibilities

Conduct regular inspections of construction sites, materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with approved specifications and building standards

Perform testing on construction materials including concrete, steel, aggregates and other materials to verify they meet required quality standards

Document and maintain detailed quality control records, inspection reports and test results for all projects

Identify defects, non-conformances and areas of concern, and communicate findings to project management and contractors for immediate corrective action

Monitor adherence to health and safety protocols on site and ensure all workers comply with relevant safety regulations

Collaborate with project engineers, architects and site managers to resolve quality issues and implement improvements

Prepare and deliver quality control reports to senior management and clients highlighting project progress and compliance status

Conduct induction and training for site personnel on quality standards and procedures

Maintain calibration of testing equipment and instruments to ensure accurate and reliable measurements

What we're looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field

Proven experience working as a Quality Control Inspector or similar role within the construction industry

Strong knowledge of construction materials, building codes, standards and specifications relevant to Indonesia

Proficiency in conducting material testing and inspections using standard testing equipment

Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and non-conformances accurately

Strong communication skills with the ability to document findings clearly and liaise effectively with site personnel and management

Knowledge of health and safety regulations and construction best practices

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software is advantageous

Fluency in Indonesian and English, both written and spoken

Physical fitness to regularly visit construction sites and conduct inspections in various weather conditions

Indonesian driving license (desirable)
