Job summary

National Oilwell Varco in Batam, Indonesia invites a Quality Supervisor to join our operations. You will oversee day-to-day quality activities, ensuring inspections, document control and NDT coordination meet ISO 9001 and API Q1 standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma, has at least 2 years in a similar role, and can communicate effectively across teams. Proficiency in English and the ability to train others are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (S1) or Diploma in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quality Supervisor, Quality Officer, or in a similar role.
• Experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 and API Q1 Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Experience in supervising and performing day-to-day Quality activities, including inspection, calibration, document control, NDT control, and third-party inspection/coordination.
• Certification in NDT and/or Welding Inspection will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of pipe-related industry standards will be an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
• Able to conduct presentations and training sessions.
• Computer literate with good proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to manage priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day quality activities, including inspection, calibration, document control, NDT control, and third-party inspection coordination.
• Communicate effectively across the organization and conduct trainings as needed.
• Maintain ISO 9001 and API Q1 QMS compliance.
• Manage priorities and work under pressure, both independently and in a team.
