Job summary

Monee, a leading digital payments provider, seeks a QA Engineer to ensure the availability, performance, and usability of payment platforms across Southeast Asia and Latin America. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, UX designers, and operations engineers to design tests for critical financial workflows and APIs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of QA experience or equivalent in software testing.
• Experience testing backend services, REST APIs, microservices, or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, REST Assured, or similar tools.
• Basic to intermediate SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience in UI and Mobile Automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or WebdriverIO.
• Understanding of software testing principles, defect lifecycle, and Agile development practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with international, cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to learn AI, use AI to facilitate and enhance quality.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans for payment/financial products, APIs, integrations, and financial workflows.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and production validation testing.
• Test critical scenarios such as payment success and failure, retries, timeouts, duplicate requests, reversals, refunds, and reconciliation.
• Develop and maintain automated tests for APIs and backend services.
• Identify, investigate, and track defects; work with engineers to drive issues to resolution.
• Participate in release quality assessment, incident investigation, and root-cause analysis.
• Improve test coverage, QA processes, automation frameworks, and CI/CD quality gates.
• Collaborate with local/regional teams to deliver reliable payment services across multiple markets.
