Job summary

PT. ALPEN FOOD INDUSTRY is seeking a Mandarin-speaking Purchasing/Import staff to manage overseas spare parts sourcing, quotations, negotiations, PO creation, contracts, and delivery monitoring from KEK Sei Mangkei, North Sumatra.

You will coordinate with Chinese suppliers, import operations, customs, warehouse, and finance, monitor shipments and payments, and provide Mandarin-Indonesian translations for documents and communications. Monthly procurement reports will be prepared for the manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum D3 diploma in any field.
• At least 1 year of experience in Purchasing/Import is preferred.
• Understanding of Purchasing/Procurement and Import processes, including PO, quotation, invoice, payment, and import documents (CI, PL, AWB, BL)

Responsibilities

• Handle spare parts purchasing from overseas suppliers, including supplier sourcing, quotation, negotiation, PO, contracts, and delivery monitoring
• Coordinate with Chinese suppliers, Import, Customs, Warehouse, Finance, and relevant users/departments
• Monitor shipments, ETA, customs clearance, goods receipt, supplier invoices, and payments
• Monitor and follow up on POs, shipments, payments, delays, goods discrepancies, and import-related issues
• Provide Mandarin–Indonesian translation and interpretation for documents and communication with suppliers and management
• Prepare monthly purchasing/import reports and provide status updates to the manager

Job Requirement

Minimum D3 (Diploma) in any field

At least 1 year of experience in Purchasing/Import is preferred

Understanding of Purchasing/Procurement and Import processes, including PO, quotation, invoice, payment, and import documents (CI, PL, AWB, BL)

Ability to conduct price comparisons and negotiations with local and overseas suppliers, particularly suppliers from China

Fluent in Mandarin, both spoken and written, with the ability to perform Mandarin–Indonesian and Indonesian–Mandarin translation

Proficient in Microsoft Office/Excel, detail-oriented, and capable of preparing monthly reports

Willing to be based in KEK Sei Mangkei, Simalungun, North Sumatra
