Job summary

Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia, on behalf of a leading multinational engineering consultancy, seeks an MEP Manager based in Jakarta. Lead an experienced MEP team to deliver power plant projects from concept through construction, ensuring high technical standards and strong client delivery.

You will coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and external stakeholders, review calculations, and support proposals, budgeting, and client presentations. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; master's is an advantage.
• Minimum 12 years in MEP engineering and project delivery; leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong experience with power plant projects and relevant industrial sectors.
• Proficiency in BIM/Revit, AutoCAD, and related design software.
• Excellent English communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the MEP engineering team to deliver projects with high technical standards.
• Report directly to the Director and manage resource planning and capability development.
• Provide technical leadership for complex MEP design from concept through construction.
• Ensure designs comply with local regulations, international standards, and procedures.

As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 15-20 years' experience in power plant projects for the job of MEP Manager. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Key job responsibilities include:

• Report directly to the Director
• Lead and develop the MEP engineering team, ensuring high technical standards and project delivery quality.
• Manage resource planning, team utilization, and technical capability development.
• Provide technical leadership for complex MEP design projects from concept through construction support.
• Ensure designs comply with local regulations, international standards, and company quality procedures.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, architects, structural engineers, process engineers, and external stakeholders.
• Review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Support proposal preparation, project planning, budgeting, and client presentations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients while identifying new business opportunities.
• Mentor and coach engineers to strengthen technical expertise and career development.
• Drive continuous improvement of engineering standards, digital engineering practices, and quality management systems.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline (Master's degree is an advantage)
• Minimum 12 years of experience in MEP engineering and project delivery.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong experience in power plant projects is essential.
• Experience in industrial sectors such as manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, data centres, food & beverage, chemicals, oil & gas, renewable energy, or other heavy industries is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical systems, and industrial utilities.
• Experience delivering projects throughout the full engineering lifecycle.
• Familiarity with BIM/Revit, AutoCAD, and engineering design software.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian regulations and international engineering codes and standards.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Professional proficiency in English.
