Job summary

Tripatra is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to maintain key client relationships, support PMs, and monitor engineering progress on oil & gas projects. The role requires leading design interfaces, ensuring compliance with design basis and project contracts, and coordinating with procurement, construction and subsystems to resolve issues promptly.

Job Description

1) General Roles

• Maintains and builds healthy client relationships.
• Supports Project Engineering Manager and Project Manager to resolves performance, scope and schedule issues withthe Client as they arise
• Monitors engineering execution progress and delivery
• Identifies, documents, communicates the client’s requirements to the engineering discipline teams.

2) Scope Management

• Checked whether the defined deliverables in line with project budget and ensures compliance with Project ExecutionPlan.
• Monitoring compliance with requirements of the contract
• Supporting implementation of Project Change Management process

3) Time Management

• Contributes to the development of engineering project schedule
• Monitors engineering work delivery in accordance with the approved schedule

4) Quality Management

• Contributes to monitoring compliance with Tripatra policies and procedures with respect to engineering projectexecution
• Strong working knowledge of Tripatra engineering systems and procedures.

5) Team Management

• Focuses team on achievement of milestones and other key project objectives.
• Listens to the team, discusses issues, supports resolution of problems and directs activities to remove roadblocks andachieve objectives.

6) Communications Management

• Regularly provide input to and preparation of report to engineering division and operations directorate.
• Effective communication with the design team and third parties
• Preparation of Accurate, timely & effective progress reporting to the Project Engineering Manager

7) Risk Management, Monitors the closure of all identified risks and opportunities,

8) Design Management

• Ensures design team aware of and complying with client’s Basis of Design and applicable regulations and codes.
• Manages inter-discipline interfaces effectively.

9) Support interfacing with procurement/Subcontracts Management related to technical engineering input to Supply ChainManagement activities,

10) Facilitates effective communication between the engineering team and construction and procurement teams.

Requirements

• Min. University degree majoring in Engineering (various disciplines) with 10 years’ experience total with at least 6 years’ experience in design and engineering for oil & gas projects (upstream and downstream)/chemical plant/Power Plant/Industrial Plant.
• Have at least five (5) years of facilities/project engineering experience, including at least three (3) years of offshore/onshore oil and gas facility FEED and detailed design, or construction experience, of which he/she shall have been in responsible charge of the design.
