Job summary

PT. Prima Solid Energik is seeking a Pipeline Engineer to design and support pipeline projects across onshore and offshore settings.

The role covers FEED through DED to construction support, engaging with cross-functional teams and applying international codes and standards. The candidate should hold a minimum S1 in Mechanical or Civil Engineering with 3+ years in pipeline design or engineering for Oil & Gas or related industries, and be proficient in AutoCAD and pipeline software such as CAESAR

Qualifications

• Minimum S1 degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years experience as Pipeline Engineer or Pipeline Design Engineer.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with pipeline software such as CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, PIPESIM, AFT or similar is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of onshore/offshore pipeline design and routing.
• Understanding of design basis, line sizing, wall thickness, pressure rating and material selection.
• Good English language capability for technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pipeline construction aspects including welding, NDT, coating, hydrotest, and commissioning.

Job description

Pipeline Engineer role involving pipeline design, engineering, and construction support for Oil & Gas, EPC, Petrochemical, Mining, or related industries. The role encompasses work from FEED through Detail Engineering Design (DED) to construction support, covering both onshore and offshore pipeline projects.

Key responsibilities

Understand and apply pipeline engineering and design for onshore and offshore projects

Manage engineering processes from FEED, Detail Engineering Design (DED), through construction support

Apply relevant standards and codes including ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, ASME B31.3, API 5L, API RP 1102, and DNV/ISO standards

Develop pipeline design basis, design criteria, line sizing, wall thickness calculation, pressure rating, and material selection

Manage pipeline routing and alignment considering terrain, crossings, ROW, existing facilities, and constructability

Conduct hydraulic analysis and pipeline pressure drop calculations

Perform pipeline stress analysis and coordinate with Stress Engineer

Prepare and review engineering documents including Pipeline Design Basis, Alignment Sheets, Data Sheets, Material Specifications, Line Lists, MTO/BOQ, Engineering Calculations, Technical Specifications, Plot Plans, Route Layouts, and Isometric drawings

Understand pipeline construction aspects including welding, NDT, coating, field joint coating, lowering, backfilling, hydrotest, and commissioning

Manage pipeline integrity and corrosion protection including corrosion allowance, coating, Cathodic Protection (CP), and corrosion control

Conduct technical review of drawings, calculations, specifications, vendor/subcontractor documents, and engineering deliverables

Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, Construction, Procurement, and Project Control teams

About you

Minimum S1 degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related engineering discipline

Minimum 3 years experience as Pipeline Engineer or Pipeline Design Engineer, particularly on Oil & Gas, EPC, Petrochemical, Mining, or related industry projects

Understanding of pipeline engineering and design for onshore and offshore applications

Knowledge of pipeline design basis, design criteria, line sizing, wall thickness calculation, pressure rating, and material selection

Understanding of pipeline routing and alignment including terrain, crossing, ROW, existing facilities, and constructability considerations

Knowledge of hydraulic analysis and pipeline pressure drop

Understanding of pipeline stress analysis and ability to coordinate with Stress Engineer

Knowledge of pipeline material specification, MTO, BOQ, and material requisition

Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with pipeline engineering/design software such as CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, PIPESIM, AFT, or similar software is advantageous

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word

Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills

Ability to work to project targets and deadlines

Willingness to be placed at office or project/site as required by the company

Good English language capability, particularly for reading technical documents and professional communication

Certification or competency in Pipeline Engineering, Welding, NDT, Coating, or Pipeline Integrity is advantageous
