Job summary

MateCareer is seeking a site-focused engineer to support project planning, engineering reviews, and method statements, ensuring technical clarity from drawings, specs, and contracts.

You will coordinate day-to-day site activities, resolve design issues, monitor progress, and keep work aligned with approved drawings and standards, while contributing to cost control, QA/QC, HSE, and stakeholder communications.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Engineering Support: Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure technical clarity.
• Construction Coordination: Coordinate day-to-day site engineering activities and resolve design conflicts.
• Cost & Project Controls: Monitor quantities, material usage, and productivity.
• Quality & Compliance (QA/QC & HSE): Ensure works meet specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Interface with contractors, consultants, and internal teams.

Job description

Some of your duties will include:

1. Project Planning & Engineering Support
   • Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure technical clarity
   • Assist in constructability reviews and value engineering initiatives
   • Prepare method statements, technical submittals, and work procedures
   • Support development of project plans, schedules, and WBS
2. Construction Coordination
   • Coordinate day-to-day site engineering activities
   • Support resolution of technical issues and design conflicts
   • Track progress and identify potential schedule risks
   • Ensure execution aligns with approved drawings and standards
3. Cost & Project Controls
   • Monitor quantities, material usage, and productivity
   • Assist with variation orders, claims, and change requests
   • Support cost tracking and progress reporting.
4. Quality & Compliance (QA/QC & HSE)
   • Ensure works meet specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements
   • Participate in inspections, testing, and quality control processes
   • Support implementation of HSE standards and safety initiatives.
5. Stakeholder Coordination
   • Interface with contractors, consultants, and internal teams
   • Respond to RFIs and technical queries
   • Participate in coordination and progress meetings.
