Job summary

BOS Foundation is seeking a Project Coordinator for its East Kalimantan, Indonesia operations. The role focuses on day-to-day project management, ensuring activities align with schedules, budgets, and quality standards while reporting to the Project Leader.

You will supervise a multidisciplinary team, engage beneficiaries and partners, and prepare performance reports. This position involves travel to BOS Foundation sites and base duties at Samboja Lestari, East Kalimantan.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Communications, Business Administration, Forestry, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of professional experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role.
  • Experience managing projects across full cycle: planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation.
  • Strong coordination with government agencies, communities, development partners, and the private sector.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the day-to-day implementation of the project, including the development of work plans, routine budget requests, activity implementation, staff supervision, and project reporting.
  • Ensure all project activities are implemented according to agreed timelines, performance targets, and quality standards.
  • Oversee project financial management to ensure resources are utilized efficiently, transparently, and in compliance with BOS Foundation financial policies, accounting principles, and donor requirements.
  • In coordination with the Project Leader, maintain effective communication and engagement with project beneficiaries, government agencies, partners, private sector representatives, and other key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit regular project performance reports, including updates on project implementation, achievements, budget utilization, and team performance.
  • Collaborate with the Project Leader and relevant stakeholders to support the development of the Nusantara Biodiversity Corridor, including biodiversity management planning and the establishment of multi-stakeholder forums.
  • Monitor project progress, identify implementation challenges, and develop appropriate solutions to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Foster effective collaboration and communication within the project team and across partner organizations to ensure the successful delivery of project activities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2–5 years of professional experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Officer, or in a similar project management role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects throughout the full project cycle, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Proven ability to develop work plans, project timelines, budgets, and technical or progress reports.
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working collaboratively with government agencies, local communities, development partners, and the private sector.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently and effectively manage multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and administrative skills.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to BOS Foundation operational areas and other project locations as required.
  • Willingness to be based at Samboja Lestari, East Kalimantan, Indonesia.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
