Job summary

Leighton Asia in Indonesia seeks an experienced planning engineer to support tender submissions and develop post-award project programs. You will assist the project team to ensure accurate reporting of works and timely delivery in line with client requirements.

You will also produce KPI data for weekly to monthly reports, develop as-built plans, and analyze for potential extension of time claims. A strong safety mindset and site readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma in civil/structural engineering required.
• 5+ years experience in civil/construction projects.
• Extensive on-site planning experience for construction projects.
• Solid understanding of construction methodology for building and civil infra.
• Experience with civil contractors preferred.
• Proficient in MS-Word and Excel.
• Strong quantitative and numeric skills.
• Intermediate cost planning and estimation skills.
• Knowledge of QA/QC systems.
• Familiar with civil/construction software/tools.
• Adheres to industry best practices.
• Basic knowledge of OHS & E.
• Willing to be placed on site and follow company rules.

Job description

Key Accountabilities:

1. To produce detailed planning of works to be carried out to support a submission to a client on a tender in order to ensure works are carried out in a timely manner and in line with client requirements.
2. To develop project program after award of contract and provide support to the Project team in order to ensure accurate program and reporting of works.
3. To assist in providing KPI and tracking information required for periodic (weekly, biweekly and monthly) reports in order to monitor and report any variances from planned productivities and targets to ensure ongoing compliance with Project Programs.
4. To develop accurate as-built plans and undertake the relevant analysis in order to substantiate extension of time claims if deemed necessary.
5. To enforce safe and environmentally friendly working procedures in order to ensure the excellent safety record and encourage employee participation in health and safety matters in order to comply with statutory requirements and HSE expectation.
6. To perform knowledge sharing in order to enhance the professional development within the organization

Requirements:

• Diploma in civil / structural engineering, or related disciplines
• 5++ yearsexperience in civil/construction
• Have extensive on-site experience performing general planning role on construction, road or civil projects.
• In depth understanding of construction methodology covering building and civil infrastructure.
• Have working experience in civil contractor is preferred
• Basic skills on MS-Word and Excel
• Strong quantitative and numeric skills
• Intermediate skills on Civil/Construction cost planning, cost estimating and analysis
• Able to perform QA/QC system
• Intermediate knowledge of Civil/Construction software/hardware skills
