Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in production planning and control, preferably in a shipyard or maritime engineering company.
  • Familiar with shipbuilding processes, materials flow, and block construction methodology.
  • Proficient in production planning tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules and WBS for ship newbuilding projects.
  • Coordinate planning with project, engineering, procurement, and yard teams to align planning with actual production activities.
  • Monitor production progress, identify delays or deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Analyze capacity planning and resource allocation to ensure project timelines are achievable.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to support project reviews and decision-making.
  • Ensure that materials, equipment, and manpower are available in line with the production schedule.
  • Support implementation of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Interface with shipyard production departments to coordinate sequencing and workflow.
  • Track KPIs such as productivity, utilization, and schedule adherence.
