Job summary

pzcussons seeks a diligent machine operator to run production lines in our facility. You will follow SOPs, operate start-up/shut-down sequences, and monitor quality and throughput during shifts.

Ideal candidates have a D3 diploma, hands-on internship experience with production equipment, and basic PLC familiarity. Strong troubleshooting and logical thinking help maintain smooth operations and minimal downtime.

Qualifications

• Diploma (D3) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or related field (polytechnic preferred).
• Fresh graduates with hands-on internship experience operating production machines are welcome.
• Good understanding of machine operation, production processes, and basic PLC programming.
• Strong logical thinking and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machines according to SOPs, work instructions and production requirements.
• Perform start-up, operation, changeover and shutdown activities safely and efficiently.
• Monitor machine performance, operating parameters and product quality during runs.
• Record production data, downtime and operational issues accurately in required documentation.
• Identify, diagnose and resolve minor machine malfunctions, jams and process abnormalities to minimize downtime.

Job description

Operate production machines and equipment in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and production requirements. Perform machine start-up, operation, changeover, and shutdown activities safely and efficiently. Monitor machine performance, operating parameters, and product quality during production runs. Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality and operational standards. Record production data, machine performance, downtime, and operational issues accurately in required documentation. Identify, diagnose, and resolve minor machine malfunctions, jams, and process abnormalities to minimize downtime.

Strictly comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), company policies, and regulatory requirements at all times.

Follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) procedures and use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
