Job summary

Praktis is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead daily garment production, plan schedules, manage workload, and ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products.

You will implement Lean Manufacturing, mentor a production team, collaborate with QA, and drive continuous improvement using 5S, Kaizen, and value stream mapping. Candidates should have 6+ years in garment production management and a relevant Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of garment production management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Lean tools and production concepts.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Responsibilities

What You WillDo:

• Plan, organize, and supervise the daily production activities to ensure timely delivery of high-quality garments.
• Manage production schedules, workforce, and resources to meet customer demands and production targets.
• Monitor production processes, including sewing, cutting, and finishing, to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Resolve any technical issues that arise during the production process, ensuring minimal disruption.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to streamline production processes, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for process optimization.
• Train and mentor the production team on Lean methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Utilize tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping to improve production workflows.
• Ensure that all products meet the company's quality standards and customer specifications.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to develop and enforce quality control procedures.
• Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of production staff, including supervisors, technicians, and operators.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify training needs to enhance team performance.
• Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
• Monitor and control production costs, including labor, materials, and overheads, to ensure budget adherence.

What You Will Need:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in garment production management.
• Bachelors degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, including sewing, pattern making, and fabric selection.
• Proficiency in Lean Management principles, with a proven track record of implementing continuous improvement methods.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
