Job summary

Trend Studio Bali is seeking a Product Developer to manage the full development cycle for garment projects from sampling through pre-production in Bali. The role requires coordinating with clients, sourcing fabrics and trims, and ensuring accurate, cost-efficient production ready designs.

The candidate should have experience in swimwear or activewear development, strong construction knowledge, supplier management, and the ability to manage multiple client accounts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in garment product development, preferably in swimwear or activewear manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of swimwear construction, fabrics, trims, and fit requirements.
• Experience managing suppliers and multiple client accounts simultaneously.
• Understanding of garment manufacturing processes and sample development workflow.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and garment development systems is preferred.
• Able to do flat sketching in software design like CorelDRAW, Photoshop, or AI in basic level.

PRODUCT DEVELOPER (GARMENT MANUFACTURER)

Job Description:

Manage the full product development process from, sampling, fitting, and approval through pre-production.

Coordinate with client representatives to understand design requirements, timelines, and product expectations.

Source and manage fabrics, trims, accessories, and supplier relationships for swimwear or apparel production.

Review tech packs, construction details, and product specifications to ensure development accuracy.

Work closely with pattern makers, sample room, merchandising, and production teams to achieve desired fit and quality.

Monitor sample development timelines and ensure on-time submission to clients.

Proactively develop products with production efficiency in mind, ensuring designs, construction, materials, and techniques are practical, cost-effective, and suitable for bulk manufacturing.

Communicate fit comments, development updates, and technical changes to suppliers and internal teams.

Manage costing discussions and support price negotiations with suppliers.

Ensure all products meet brand standards, quality requirements, and production feasibility.

Track development status across multiple brands and maintain organized documentation and approvals.

Resolve development and sourcing issues proactively to avoid production delays.
