Job summary

Japan Tobacco International Indonesia is seeking a Category Manager for Marketing & Sales (M&S) and Travel & Events (T&E) to lead sourcing and procurement across the Indonesia Cluster. You will drive category strategies, manage suppliers, and work with stakeholders to deliver value and savings while aligning with global procurement strategies.

You will collaborate with regional and global teams, support financial planning, and ensure procurement processes and reporting compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management within a multinational organization.
• Experience in M&S, T&E, or indirect procurement categories is an advantage.
• Business proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strategic mindset with strong analytical and financial acumen.
• Experience managing suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.

The Category Manager - Marketing & Sales (M&S) and Travel & Events (T&E) leads sourcing and procurement initiatives across the Indonesia Cluster. Working closely with business stakeholders and suppliers, this role drives value creation, cost optimization, supplier performance, and continuous improvement while ensuring alignment with global procurement strategies.

As the Category Manager M&S & T&E you will:

Category Management

• Lead procurement activities for the M&S and T&E categories within the Indonesia Cluster.
• Implement category strategies and support the execution of local procurement plans aligned with cluster and global priorities.
• Collaborate with regional and global procurement teams to provide market insights and support strategy development.
• Contribute to financial planning and deliver measurable business value and savings.

Supplier Management

• Develop and manage a high-performing supplier network.
• Lead contract negotiations to secure optimal commercial and service conditions.
• Drive supplier relationship management (SRM) and ensure supply continuity and performance.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, sustainability, and process improvements through supplier partnerships.

Procurement Performance & Value Creation

• Deliver procurement targets, KPIs, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Lead or support sourcing and bidding activities to achieve the best balance of quality, cost, and service.
• Monitor category performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Ensure compliance with procurement processes, digital sourcing tools, and reporting requirements.

Business Partnership

• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and act as a trusted procurement advisor.
• Align procurement strategies with business priorities and support informed decision-making.
• Foster effective collaboration across procurement teams, stakeholders, and suppliers.
• Support local, regional, and global procurement projects and initiatives as a Global Indirect Procurement (GIP) ambassador.

Market Intelligence

• Monitor market trends, supplier landscapes, and category developments.
• Conduct spend, risk, and opportunity analyses to support procurement decisions.
• Develop contingency plans and identify alternative suppliers to ensure supply continuity and competitive advantage.
