Job summary

Our Client in Indonesia is seeking a Principal Metallurgist to lead metallurgical optimisation across crushing, heap leaching, and related circuits. You will drive technical reviews and studies to boost performance while ensuring safety, quality and environmental standards are met.

You will manage metallurgical accounting systems and support OpEx/CapEx initiatives, mentoring technical teams and collaborating with operations and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead metallurgical optimisation initiatives across crushing, heap leaching, thickening, filtration, and elution circuits.
• Drive technical reviews and metallurgical studies to improve plant performance and production outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality management standards.
• Manage metallurgical accounting systems and monitor reagent and consumables usage.
• Develop operational budgets and support OpEx and CapEx optimisation.
• Lead metallurgical projects and laboratory activities while providing guidance to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, mining, HSE, and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
• Support capability development through coaching, training, and mentoring of technical teams.
