Job summary

Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara seeks a senior Metallurgy leader to oversee long-term projects, the on-site metallurgical laboratory, and metallurgical accounting at the Batu Hijau operation in Indonesia. You will drive project execution, ensure QA/QC, and deliver robust reports that inform business decisions.

The role requires 12+ years in metallurgy with a track record in leadership, lab management, and mass balance reconciliation, plus strong cross-functional collaboration and safety commitment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, or closely related field.
• Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in metallurgical roles within large-scale mineral processing operations.
• At least 5 years in leadership/managerial role as Superintendent/Advisor Metallurgy.
• Experience managing a metallurgical laboratory with QA/QC protocols.

Responsibilities

• Oversee long-term metallurgical projects and process improvements to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Manage on-site metallurgical laboratory and ensure safety, QA/QC, and timely analytical data.
• Own metallurgical accounting and reporting, including mass and metal balances and inventory data.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing metallurgist team in a remote-site, multicultural environment.
