Job summary

SoftwareOne is seeking a Presales Solution Architect – Data & AI in Jakarta to translate data and AI opportunities into scalable business outcomes. You will partner with Sales and Delivery to shape technical strategies, design multi-cloud Data & AI solutions, and guide customers from GenAI exploration to production-ready implementations.

You will lead discovery, architect secure data stacks, and present compelling technical and commercial proposals to diverse stakeholders across AWS and Azure.

• Experience in presales, solution architecture, data architecture, or consulting roles focused on customer-facing Data & AI solutions.

• Create solution architectures, technical designs, effort estimates, and proposals with commercial recommendations.
• Deliver technical workshops, demonstrations, and proofs-of-concept for stakeholders.
• Advise customers on cloud and platform choices based on architecture, cost, governance, and security.

We are looking for a Presales Solution Architect – Data & AI to work with customers, Sales, and Delivery teams to understand business challenges, shape technical strategies, and design scalable Data & AI solutions across AWS and Azure.

As a Presales Solution Architect – Data & AI, you will act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer journey. You will bring deep expertise in either AWS or Azure, with the ability to confidently design solutions across the other platform, helping customers select the right architecture based on their existing technology investments, business goals, security requirements, and commercial considerations. You will also help customers evolve from traditional data and analytics platforms through GenAI and towards emerging agentic AI solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Leading customer discovery sessions and workshops to understand business objectives, existing data environments, technical challenges, and transformation priorities.
• Designing secure and scalable Data, Analytics, GenAI, and agentic AI architectures across AWS and Azure, incorporating Databricks or Snowflake where appropriate.
• Creating solution architectures, technical designs, effort estimates, Statements of Work, proposals, and commercial recommendations.
• Delivering technical workshops, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements for both technical and business stakeholders.
• Advising customers on the right cloud and platform approach based on architecture, existing investments, cost, governance, security, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborating with Sales throughout the opportunity lifecycle and ensuring a smooth transition of successful solutions into Delivery.

What we need to see from you

• Experience in presales, solution architecture, data architecture, or consulting roles focused on customer-facing Data & AI solutions.
• Deep expertise in either AWS or Microsoft Azure, with sufficient knowledge of the other platform to design and position multi-cloud Data & AI solutions.
• Strong understanding of modern data architectures including data lakes, lakehouses, data warehouses, ETL/ELT, analytics, data integration, and governance.
• Experience designing AI/ML, Generative AI, or agentic AI solutions and translating emerging technologies into practical customer use cases.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex architecture concepts and clearly articulate business value.
• Commercial awareness with experience developing solution scopes, estimates, technical proposals, and Statements of Work.
