Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of precision agriculture strategies and technologies for diverse farming operations.
• Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of agricultural data from various sources, including sensors, drones, and satellite imagery.
• Develop data-driven recommendations for variable rate application of inputs (fertilizers, pesticides, water), seeding, and harvesting optimization.
• Manage and mentor a team of precision agriculture specialists, fostering their professional development and ensuring project success.
• Collaborate with farmers, agronomists, and technology providers to integrate precision agriculture solutions effectively into existing farm management systems.
• Design and conduct field trials to evaluate the performance and economic viability of new precision agriculture technologies and techniques.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across all precision agriculture platforms and databases.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on project outcomes, insights, and recommendations for management and clients.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and innovations in precision agriculture, IoT, AI, and data science within the agricultural context.
• Provide remote training and support to end-users on precision agriculture tools and software.

Requirements

• Master\'s degree or Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Geomatics, Computer Science, or a related field with a strong focus on precision agriculture.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in precision agriculture, with a significant portion involving leadership or team management.
• Expertise in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS), GPS technology, and data analysis tools (e.g., R, Python, MATLAB).
• Hands-on experience with agricultural sensors, drone technology (including data processing), and variable rate application equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into practical, actionable insights.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
• Familiarity with various crop types and farming systems common in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
• Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
• Ability to travel occasionally for critical on-site project engagements or team meetings.
