Senior Agricultural Supply Chain Analyst

Our client is a dynamic leader in the agricultural sector, focused on optimizing the efficiency and sustainability of food supply chains. We are seeking a highly analytical Senior Agricultural Supply Chain Analyst to join our team, based in Tangerang. This role operates on a hybrid model, combining remote work with essential on-site responsibilities. You will be instrumental in analyzing complex agricultural supply chains, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to enhance logistics, reduce waste, and improve overall performance. Your work will involve data modeling, forecasting, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including farmers, processors, distributors, and technology providers. This position requires a strong understanding of agricultural operations, supply chain management principles, and advanced analytical skills. You will contribute to creating more resilient, efficient, and sustainable food systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze end-to-end agricultural supply chains to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for cost reduction and performance enhancement.
• Develop and implement data-driven strategies for inventory management, logistics optimization, and demand forecasting.
• Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to model supply chain scenarios and evaluate the impact of proposed changes.
• Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, operations, sales) and external partners (suppliers, logistics providers) to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate regular reports on supply chain performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Identify and assess risks within the supply chain, such as weather disruptions, geopolitical events, and market volatility, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Research and recommend innovative technologies and best practices to improve supply chain traceability, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Develop strong relationships with stakeholders across the agricultural value chain.
• Provide training and guidance to junior supply chain team members.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in agricultural supply chain management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, Agricultural Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, or operations management, with a focus on the agricultural sector.
• Proven experience with supply chain modeling software, ERP systems, and advanced analytical tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
• Strong understanding of agricultural production systems, commodities, and market dynamics.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
• Experience in risk management and contingency planning for supply chains.
• Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is beneficial.
