Job summary

Wacker Chemie AG in Tangerang, Indonesia, is seeking a Technical Assistant (Polymers) to support the Assistant Technical Service Manager in testing adhesives, coatings, and related applications. You will help implement new test methods, manage raw materials and inventory, maintain equipment, ensure safety, and assist in formulation development for customer projects in a global, matrix organization.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, with training provided and exposure to international EH&S

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 3 years of relevant experience encouraged to apply.
• Exposure to adhesives, sealants, and coating systems is an advantage.
• Good command of English with ability to communicate and present technical information.
• Comfortable working in an international and matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day laboratory testing and analysis according to international and defined standards; interpret, document results with high accuracy, report and present laboratory test results as outlined
• Maintain stock levels of all raw materials and dispose of expired materials.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and in good condition and is calibrated according to standards and SOP.
• Support the Assistant Technical Service Manager to ensure the lab is operated in line with WACKER quality standards and SOP; develop and update SOPs whenever necessary.
• Support the preparation, packing, and shipment of samples and prototypes for internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform other laboratory support duties as assigned by the Technical Service team.
• Ensure the lab is clean and tidy and take own initiative to clear any non-conformance.
