Job summary

FLSmidth is seeking a Global Inventory Analyst to consolidate demand and inventory data across regions and to support the global SIOP process. You will deliver insights that balance service levels, cost, and working capital while collaborating with regional planners, supply chain, finance and commercial teams.

You will collect forecasts, monitor inventory health, and prepare standard reports and dashboards for global and regional reviews, enabling informed decisions and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or related field.
  • 2+ years in demand forecasting, inventory planning, or supply chain analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel; Power BI experience.
  • Knowledge of ERP/planning systems such as D365, Oracle or Epicor.
  • Strong English communication for global collaboration.
  • Understanding of forecasting techniques and inventory optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, validate, and consolidate demand forecasts from regional and local markets.
  • Analyze forecast accuracy, demand trends, and planning assumptions; identify risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor global inventory levels, highlighting slow-moving, excess, and obsolete stock.
  • Support inventory optimization initiatives to balance customer service and working capital targets.
  • Prepare and distribute standard SIOP reports and dashboards for global and regional review meetings.
  • Provide insights into demand variability, supply constraints, and inventory impacts.
  • Conduct what-if analysis and scenario modeling to support supply chain and business decisions.
  • Maintain data integrity in planning tools and ERP systems (Epicor, D365, Oracle, or similar).
  • Partner with global and regional teams to ensure alignment across demand planning, supply planning, and finance.
  • Support continuous improvement of SIOP tools, templates, and processes.

Job description

The Global Inventory Analyst (APAC) will support the global Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process by consolidating, analyzing, and reporting demand and inventory data across multiple regions.

This role ensures accurate forecasts, inventory visibility, and actionable insights that help balance service levels, cost, and working capital. The analyst will work closely with regional planners, supply chain, finance, and commercial teams to support alignment between demand and supply.

Your Responsibilities

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in demand forecasting, inventory planning, or supply chain analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with visualization tools (Power BI).
  • Knowledge of ERP and planning systems (D365, Oracle, or Epicor).
  • Strong communication skills in English; able to interact in a global environment.
  • Understanding of supply chain principles, forecasting techniques, and inventory optimization.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage large datasets and tight deadlines.
