Standard Chartered Bank is seeking an Operations professional to ensure seamless processing of cross-border payment transactions, investigate issues, and maintain reconciliation and control standards. The role requires handling cross-border payments, transfers, and ensuring regulatory compliance within a fast-paced environment.
Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree and have at least 2 years in cross-border payments or banking operations.
Join our Operations team and play a key role in ensuring the seamless processing of cross-border payment transactions. You will be responsible for payment processing, investigation of transaction issues, reconciliation activities, and maintaining operational excellence while ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
Process and manage cross-border payment transactions, electronic fund transfers, and book transfers accurately and efficiently.
Review and verify transactions to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with operational procedures.
Investigate and resolve payment failures, discrepancies, and transaction-related issues within agreed service levels.
Perform daily reconciliations and operational reporting to ensure data integrity and processing accuracy.
Monitor operational activities to identify risks, discrepancies, and potential operational losses.
Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards.
Provide operational support and timely resolution of inquiries from internal stakeholders.
Support audits, governance activities, regulatory reporting, and maintenance of operational documentation and procedures.
Participate in system enhancements, testing activities, business continuity planning (BCP), and process improvement initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
Minimum 2 years of experience in cross-border payments, transaction processing, or banking operations.
Sound understanding of payment processing workflows and operational controls.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.
SPPUR certification will be an added advantage.
